All About Recession

Hey guys! I'm back from my Taiwan trip. I don't really have the time to post in on the blog so just view my facebook albums first. I need to get some photo editing software to resize the photos as well. Sigh. So busy. Had like 114 emails to read when I came back from my leave. Horrid.

Anyway, I shall now blog about how to cope during this gloomy recession, when times are so bad, how do you survive?

Number 1: If you have been travelling by taxi, please start to travel by MRT. If you have been travelling by MRT, please start to travel by bus. If you have been travelling by bus, please start to travel by cycling, whereas you can't cycle, the last resort is by foot.

Number 2: If you drive, gather your colleagues together for a car pool and charge them. Remember to factor in ERP and parking costs.

Note to those who have been retrenched, now it's a good time to choose a working location nearer to home. Preferably within walking distance.

Number 3: If you have been eating at cafes/restaurants, opt for food courts. If you have been eating at food courts opt for hawker centres. If you have been eating at hawker centres, opt for office canteens or pack your own lunch to work.

Number 4: Instead of eating out for breakfast, "kop" the biscuits from your office pantry.

Number 5: Opt for wrinkle-free office wear to save on ironing costs.

Number 6: Wear your pyjamas for two consecutive nights before dumping them into the wash.

Number 7: Tag along with your parents on their grocery shopping so that you can stock up on your necessities - without paying!

Number 8: Indulge in a hobby that can pass off as a sideline, not limiting to photography, swimming coach, piano teacher or tuition teacher.

Number 9: Instead of going to the mall to buy Christmas presents, bake cookies for everyone! Good and low cost!

Number 10: When washing your car, offer to wash all your neighbours' cars as well for a small fee and take opportunity to borrow their cleaning and polishing agents.

Nite nite everyone!! :)
