Australian Open Day Three

Day Three was just as packed as Day Two and it was again a bloody hot day. I honestly don't understand how anyone in the right mind can play tennis under this unbearable heat!

Here's the spot where we get the updates of all the on-going matches of the day.

First match of the day was at Vodafone Arena for James Blake's debut match at the open.

James Blake didn't look very focus at the start of the match. He lost the first set 6-2 but quickly got back his groove by winning the next three sets 6-1, 6-4, 6-3.

The next match was at Show Court Two.

Dmitry Tursunov beat Tim Henman in the first round.

The main reason we were here - Spanish player, Tommy Robredo!

I've just gotten the zoom repaired a year ago and now there's this problem. How fustrating!

Anyway, the last match of the day was between Xavier Malisse and Tomas Johansson. There were so many Swedish supporters at Margaret Court Arena, there was a sea of fans in blue and yellow. They were chanting and cheering like there was no tomorrow. I never knew Swedish people were this patriotic!

Malisse was two sets to one down when we got to the match in progress. We watched as Malisse took the the fourth set to make it two sets all. We decided to leave before the last set was over to beat the crowd and catch the train home.

Johansson won the match 6-3, 3-6, 7-5, 4-6, 6-3 after over three and half hours.
